About Me

I’m Patryk Mazur, a tattoo artist originally from Warsaw, Poland, with more than 20 years of experience. My journey into tattooing began as a young boy with a love for comic books. Growing up in the grey, post-communist reality of Poland, comics offered me an escape into vibrant worlds full of adventure and inspiration. This passion for storytelling quickly evolved into drawing, and soon enough, I was sketching my favourite characters. One day, someone suggested I try applying my art to a different canvas—people’s bodies. That’s how my tattoo career began.

In the early days, tattooing in Poland was surrounded by stigma. Before 1989, tattoos were illegal, and the only places you could get one were in prisons or the military. There were no apprenticeships or formal training—just pure determination. But as the tattoo industry grew in the late ‘90s and early 2000s, I was able to expand my skills and knowledge.

In order to further my career, I began attending tattoo conventions, but my dream was always to work internationally. The only challenge was the language barrier, so I moved to the UK to learn English and experience the global tattoo scene.

Now based in Cardiff, South Wales, and also tattooing in Bristol, I specialise in black-and-grey tattoos, with a focus on realism and hybrid styles. One of my true passions is creating cover-up tattoos. Many artists shy away from them, but I embrace the challenge. I believe there is something uniquely rewarding about transforming an old or unwanted tattoo into a completely new work of art.
